Upstart Project
On behalf of SURF / DG Council & Scot Gov Planning, OutPost Arts collaborated with architectural design company 'New Practise' to deliver 'Upstart' - a series of events that aim to give local people aged 13-40 a stronger voice in local planning.
Using our collective creative, project management and creative place-making skills, OutPost Arts facilitated a day-long large-scale 'High Street Take Over' event as the project's finale; engaging all ages of the community via formal and informal consultations and workshops to collectively 'signpost' Langholm's future direction.
OutPost worked with talented and valued local and regional creative partners including 'For Enjoyment CIC', Sian Yeshe and Rory Laycock to deliver a wide range of unique, interactive experiences; drawing out and recording opinions to feed back into a larger Community Action Plan.
