Lucy Hadley - Home and Away
The Look Out launched with an exhibition of Dumfries & Galloway based artist and illustrator Lucy's Hadley's beautifully observed printed work, created using a combination of drawings and paintings and digitally added colour and texture. Featuring scenes from her travels north and south Scotland, Lucy's work has a unique characterful depictions of places and animals coupled with a strong graphic sensibility - the result of her training as a commercial artist.
Lucy also hosted a half-day outdoor sketching workshop with an eager group, covering materials and set up for drawing on location followed by composition and technique.
