OutPost Arts
COMMON RIDING WINDOW PAINTING
In partnership with the Xcel Youth Project, OutPost Arts delivers annual window mural workshops to local young people aged 7-13.
Celebrating common riding traditions, the workshops allow children to gain real experience in the design and realisation process, forming clear visual themes and developing them towards an end product. Participants must work as part of a 'design team', working together to produce a cohesive visual language and composition. The high level of visibility also allows the group to share their wonderful work with their community, including the large numbers of people who attend Common Riding Day each year.
