Denise Zygadlo - Coming up for Air, until Tuesday April 7th 2020
Trained in printed textiles, Denise worked in London studios before leaving for Scotland and bringing up 4 children. As the children grew older, she returned to her creative practise becoming a professional member of the Scottish Society of Artists in 2004.
Denise's work is still mainly concerned with cloth, exploring this through drawing, printing and collage, often working with live photocopied images that incorporate the body.
Most of her work features a monochromatic palette and a desire to use colour led Denise to make small collages using magazines and other printed material. This began with a challenge to create and share a collage a week with artist Amy Marletta and has resulted in a series of evolving exhibitions and an ongoing collaborative project.
Denise will be hosting a collage masterclass workshop at The Look Out, Saturday March 28th.
